Basic Freezer Jam

Low sugar and great for all types of jam

Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 cups of fruit puree` (apricot, berry, cherry, peach, plum, etc)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup Ultra Gel instant thickener

Directions

  1. Prepare fruit in a blender, food processor or by crushing.

  2. Add sugar and lemon juice then stir to mix.

  3. Sprinkle Ultra Gel in gradually, stirring constantly until all is mixed in.

  4. Allow to stand 5 - 10 minutes to thicken then stir until smooth.

  5. If a thicker consistency is desired, add more Ultra Gel one tablespoon at a time.

  6. Package, seal, label and freeze for 6 - 12 months.

  7. Yields about 5 cups (approx 80 - 1 Tblsp. servings)

  8. Sugar can be adjusted to your preferences without affecting the consistency.
